With any luxury vinyl flooring, you can expect to get the most value for your decorating dollar.
Vinyl plank flooring has a high-end design, is affordable, and has many advantages. So, let's take a deeper dive into the specifics.
Affordable style
The images are so clear that you'll see knots, swirls, grains, and color variations. But, unlike the vinyl you may remember from decades ago, there are no flat images.
Instead, the floors have micro beveling and embossing to add depth and dimension. There are also textured looks such as wire-brushed, hand-scraped, distressed, and embossed-in-register.
The material is cut into strips to mimic hardwood floorboards, called vinyl plank flooring. It can also be cut into square, tile-sized pieces. Many tell us the seams add even more to the realism!
Expect complete waterproof capabilities
The vinyl is water-tight, so the material is impenetrable whether spilled on or submerged.
Look forward to the extreme durability
This is considered one of the most kid-and-pet-friendly floorings on the market. It stands up to the heaviest wear and foot traffic.
Luxury vinyl flooring is five times thicker than the original product and is layered. A transparent, strong wear layer protects the floor from scratches, scuffs, and dents. It's impossible to "walk off" the image of your LVP flooring (or LVT).
At the very top is a clear urethane finish. It adds extra strength and shine.
Anticipate never having to scrub floors.
All it requires is regular sweeping and periodic mopping. Installation, too, is simple. The pieces can be glued down or installed to float.
